ABOUT MEFather, Creative Leader & Bicycle Enthusiast
I am a content designer, UX writer and creative leader living in Venice, California. I help companies build human-centered, data-driven app and web interactions that are engaging, intuitive and effective.
At Meta, I lead content design on high-visibility projects, mentor designers and create digital reference tools and standards for the team. At Amazon, I applied 10 years of content design to stand up a content design practice in a new division. I built a foundation for a successful practice by creating a scalable framework, best practices, and digital tools. At Disney, I managed Disney's largest content strategy practice, building it from a small team to an effective force driving exceptional user experiences, content, and digital transformation—and spawning a conversational design sub-practice to empower chatbots. In my spare time, I swim, surf, and bicycle commute around Los Angeles to stay in shape to keep up with my six-year-old daughter, Charli. |
Digital Strategy
My philosophy –
Content design is more than UX writing. It's a continuous collaboration with design through the product design process—from research and user personas to iterations and prototypes—to reveal a sum that is greater than the parts. Content design is under-leveraged. As a result, product design is over-leveraged. This limits solutions, increases iterations, and reduces synergy. Figma is a gift. Content design should use it to frame flows, partner on the user experience, and include real content in every review. The best is yet to come. As platforms proliferate and AI and machine learning expand digital capabilities, content designers will be in demand to shape dynamic content served seamlessly across an ecosystem of experiences. |
Content designers are designers who design with information and ideas.
When we get it right, digital content flows with engagement and discovery.
